The Center for Educational Leadership (CEL) brings together the resources of Trinity University, 21 member school districts, and corporate and civic partners in a comprehensive collaboration to improve schools in our community.

The school district members of the Center comprise nearly 600 schools with more than 300,000 students and 28,000 teachers. Each member of Trinity's education department works on CEL initiatives. The expertise of other faculty and visiting scholars also enhances the thinking.

Significant activities supported by Trinity's CEL include:

  • Trinity's Principal Center, which supports and sustains school leaders in efforts to help their students become successful learners.
  • The Superintendents' Forum, which helps school district leaders gain perspective on the challenges inherent in leading school districts.
  • The Gifted and Talented Consortium, which offers workshops to address the education needs of GT students to better equip teachers to utilize appropriate curriculum and strategies.
  • Trinity's long-standing Upward Bound program, which provides academic and personal support to students to assist in their preparation for college.

The Center's history of outreach to local schools extends back more than 15 years. Over the years, the Center has prepared a number of policy reports and presented them to the community.
