The mission of the University with respect to emergency response is to safeguard the lives of faculty, staff, and students, to lessen the extent of personal injuries that may occur, and to protect assets in the event of an emergency or natural disaster. The University Crisis Management Team maintains the Trinity University Crisis Management Plan which provides important information and actions to be taken in the event an emergency or natural disaster occurs within the University or the general area, and that may impact academic and other operations.

In case of any type of campus emergency individuals making the discovery should first move to a safe location and then contact the Department of Campus Security (210-999-7000). The Department of Campus Security will contact and summon the necessary University personnel and other resources required to contain and control the emergency.
