Videostreaming
The AT&T Center for Learning and Technology can provide direct-to-desktop playback (streaming) of live or recorded lectures, other campus events or stored video materials to networked campus computers, and has some limited off-campus streaming capability. Faculty and staff can make a request to stream an event, with at least 48 hours advance notice to schedule a live videostreaming of an event taking place during normal working hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday), and at least 72 hours advance notice for an event taking place outside of these hours.
At present, streaming service is provided only for events located on Trinity's campus. If the material to be streamed is on tape or DVD, the material will be digitized and stored in the streaming server that is accessible on campus over the network. Trinity follows relevant copyright guidelines for educational use of copyrighted materials, and the University must own a legally-obtained copy of a copyrighted recording before the recording can be digitized and uploaded to the streaming server. To discuss a videostreaming project, email or call the CLT office at x7323.
