Holiday Cheer: Trinity University to Present Annual Christmas Concert

SAN ANTONIO- Trinity University will musically welcome the holiday season with its 19th annual Christmas Concert. The concert, which has become a favorite San Antonio tradition, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in Trinity's Laurie Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public; reservations and tickets are not required.  Seating is available on a first-come, first-seated basis.

The program will showcase the combined talents of nearly 200 of the University's singers and instrumentalists such as the orchestra, wind ensemble, and handbell choir. Featured on this year's program are traditional holiday favorites such as "Deck the Halls," "Sleigh Ride," "Hallelujah Chorus," "Los Peces en el Rio" (Mexican Christmas folk song), "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" (English), and "West Indies Carol" (West Indies).

Pre-concert seasonal music will be provided in the foyer at 7 p.m. by a flute ensemble, string quartet, brass quintet, and Trinity's own a cappella student groups, the Trinitones and the AcaBellas. The Jazz Ensemble will provide post-concert music.
