(Modern European History)


POSITION   Assistant Professor of History (Modern European History), entry-level, tenure-track appointment to begin August 2013.

RESPONSIBILITES   To teach introductory and advanced courses in Modern European History, excluding France, including a senior research seminar in the field of specialization, and periodic participation in such extra departmental programs as First-Year Seminars or other interdisciplinary offerings; three classes (typically only two preparations) a semester with the senior seminar usually limited to ten students, advanced courses limited to twenty students, and introductory courses to twenty-five.

QUALIFICATIONS   Ph.D. in History expected by August 2013 with specialization in Modern Europe; teaching experience preferred, including the ability to teach the introductory Modern European history survey course.
SALARY   Competitive
