2012 Geosciences Alumni Field Trip Photos
Kathleen Surpless received the Biggs Award for Excellence in Earth Science Teaching from the Geological Society of America during its annual convention in November. Kathy was featured in an article titled “Geosciences professor receives recognition” in the Trinitonian.
Dr. Doug Wilson, distinguished lecturer for The Consortium for Ocean Leadership, associate research geophysicist at the Marine Science Institute, University of California at Santa Barbara, will present “Probing Mid-Ocean Ridge Processes Through Deep Crustal Drilling” at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in CSI Room 437. Refreshments will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sponsored by the department of geosciences.
