One of the exciting growth areas in the sciences is interdisciplinary research at the interface between mathematics and biology. In order to better prepare students for the challenges inherent to this research, Trinity faculty applied for and received a grant from the National Science Foundation to start a program called Integrated Research in Biomathematics (IRBM).

The goal of the IRBM program is to develop students and faculty who are 'bilingual' in these two disciplines through a combination of coursework and research. The grant supports this goal through providing money for summer research fellowships, as well as the creation of Biomathematics minor. Students interested in biomathematics are should read the information found in the IRBM application, and then follow the instructions to submit the requested materials. Also, read more about current research projects.
