Creating a Weather-Ready Nation: When Seconds Count, StormReady® Communities are Prepared
Trinity is the first private San Antonio institution of higher education and only the seventh in Texas to receive this prestigious certification, which formally recognizes the University's comprehensive emergency preparedness for severe weather incidents.
The StormReady® program - begun in 1999 in Oklahoma - is aimed at preparing cities, counties, and universities across the nation with the communication and safety tools necessary to save lives and properties. As of early January, more than 1,700 agencies across the United States have earned the StormReady® designation.
