Trinity's Department of Engineering Science is one of the nation's top ranked, ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited, undergraduate engineering programs. Our focus on teaching and design, in addition to our special attention to developing students' communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, differentiates us from the hundreds of other engineering programs across the country.

Our multidisciplinary curriculum allows students to understand how design functions across a variety of disciplines. This deeper understanding of how engineered products, processes, and systems work maximizes students' prediction, judgment, and design optimizing skills.

Throughout a student's eight semesters at Trinity, design is utilized to motivate and tie together their engineering education. This design sequence challenges students in the areas of creative and critical thinking and the development of decision-making skills.

Additionally, unlike most Engineering Science schools, students here participate fully in a common curriculum that makes Trinity one of the leading liberal arts schools in the nation.

A degree in Engineering Science prepares students for professional engineer (P.E.) registration/licensing and careers in creative engineering design, investigative engineering, and engineering research and development. Almost a third of our graduates go on to further study, often at top graduate programs.
