Trinity University works to make your move-in experience as smooth as possible. New students will check-in to the residence halls on Thursday, August 22, 2013. Move-in is scheduled on a hall-by-hall basis. We ask that you respect these time periods (listed below).
There will be volunteers available to assist in moving items to the rooms. Helpers will move boxes, suitcases, TVs, computers, and other large items. Please clearly label these items with name, hall, and room number. There will be a designated unloading area for each hall. Drivers will need to remain with the vehicle and after unloading will be directed to the appropriate parking lot. New first year students will go directly to their residence hall floor and pick up the room key from the Resident Mentor. (If the student is alone, allow the helpers to unload items, then park, pick up the key, and open the door for them to load in.)
Once items are placed in the room the student will walk over to the Bell Center and continue the check-in process. At the Bell Center yearbook photos will be taken, Tiger Cards will be produced (needed for meal plan) and parking tags will be distributed.
New transfer students will report to the Bell Center between 8:00 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. to pick up their room key, Tiger Card, and parking passes. They will also meet their Transfer Student Mentor who will show them to their room and assist with the move in process.
Tip: Have your hall name and room number handy, it will speed things up!
