Trinity University uses the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional financial aid. The FAFSA takes several factors into account, including adjusted gross income, federal and state taxes paid, assets and holdings, the size of the family, and the number of siblings enrolled in college. You are required to submit the FAFSA for each year that you wish to apply for financial aid at Trinity. Only U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents may apply for federal financial aid. Meeting deadlines is a very important part of the financial aid process especially since funding for various programs is limited. By filing the FAFSA early, a student ensures that he or she will be given the maximum consideration for programs with limited funds. In order to complete the FAFSA, you and a parent must both apply for a federal Personal Identification Number, or PIN (independent students can apply without parental information). Your PIN will serve as your electronic signature and will provide access to personal records.

How to apply for aid
STEP 1: Obtain your pin
STEP 2: Complete and submit the FAFSA
STEP 3: Review your FAFSA results and correct, if needed
