Economics majors have a variety of research opportunities available to them. Student Paulius Kosmarciukas and Dr. Richard Butler presented their paper, "The 21st Century Work Force: Is there a Skills Gap?" at the Southern Economic Association meetings in November 2009.

Professor Roger Spencer and Professor John Huston have worked with a number of talented students on their research over the years, and published their paper, "Influential Macromonetary Publications and Economists" in the Fall 2009 issue of The American Economist with student Rachel Branyan as co-author.

This fall, Professor Maria Paganelli will be working with student Christina Flatau on history of thought and public choice research, and Professor Ricardo Santos will work with student James Nordlund on both sports economics and economic perspectives in school choice.
