The Biology Department works closely with other academic departments at Trinity to give students opportunities to pursue degrees that cross over a variety of scientific disciplines. All of these majors provide a foundation for students interested in graduate study or vocational careers in the life sciences.

Neuroscience
A neuroscience major combines coursework in chemistry, psychology, and biology to provide an understanding of the nature and functioning of the nervous system, from the molecular to the behavioral level.

Biochemistry/Molecular Biology
This major includes advanced coursework and laboratory experience in biology and chemistry, providing an interdisciplinary education at the interface of these fields.

Environmental Studies
The environmental studies minor provides an interdisciplinary study of Earth's environment and how human beings interact with it. Students examine environmental issues from natural science, policy, economic, and sociocultural perspectives.

BioMathematics
The BioMathematics minor combines the study of biology, mathematics, and engineering science. Students examine questions at the intersection of fields such as ecology, genetics, and neuroscience with probability, statistics, and mathematical modeling.
