Trinity University offers Bachelor of Arts degrees and minors in:
- Ancient Mediterranean Studies (AMS) combines the history, art, culture and literature of the ancient world into a cohesive intellectual enterprise. Because of the major's breadth, courses from a variety of departments count towards the AMS major, making it easy to combine the study of the classical world with another major.
- Latin gives students the opportunity to learn and/or improve upon their skills and learn about the language and culture.
- Ancient Greek gives students the opportunity to learn and/or improve upon their skills and learn about the language and culture.
- Classical Languages (Greek and Latin) gives students the opportunity to explore both of these ancient languages [not available as a minor].
Students receive an extremely well-rounded education through the courses offered, have an extensive library of reference books available to them, and gain access to faculty who possess a shared passion for the ancient Mediterranean world.
The Classical Studies program at Trinity is among the largest for a liberal arts college, and the student experience offers numerous opportunities in the classroom, in the community and abroad.
Our program prepares students for a variety of careers. Many of our alumni enter into medicine, law, education, business and so many more exciting fields. Learn more about our alumni by reading profiles and see what exciting things they are doing after graduation.
