Trinity University Named a 2012-13 Best Value College

San Antonio school places in top third of Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine rankings

SAN ANTONIO - Kiplinger's Personal Finance has included Trinity University on its list of the country's best values in private colleges, ranking it at No. 29. Kiplinger's annual list identifies 100 private universities and 100 liberal arts colleges that combine outstanding education with economic value.

Trinity placed in the top 200 because of a high four-year graduation rate, low average student debt at graduation, good student-to-faculty ratio, excellent on-campus resources, and overall great value. Trinity and the other colleges exemplify the attributes parents and students look for in higher education, including small class sizes, a good freshman retention rate, and a high four-year graduation rate.

"Kiplinger's list of the best private colleges has become a recognized and respected resource for families researching the best value in college education," says Janet Bodnar, editor of Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine. "The schools on this year's list offer students both academic excellence and affordability, which is increasingly important in this challenging economic landscape."

Many schools have appeared on the list multiple times including Trinity.  The full list of schools can be found at
