We are excited that you and your family are visiting our skyline campus this summer. We are hard at work updating and improving our campus facilities to provide a safe and engaging environment for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This summer, we have many exciting projects you will encounter on your campus tour. If you have any questions about these construction projects or how they will impact your campus tour, we encourage you to contact the Office of Admissions at 1-800-TRINITY or email@example.com.
- Phase 3A: July 2013 (Opening for Fall 2013 classes)
- Phase 3B: Winter 2013 (Opening for Spring 2013 classes)
- Phase 3C: Summer 2014 (Completion of Center for the Sciences and Innovation)
Trinity's state-of-the-art Center for the Sciences and Innovation will provide Trinity students one of the best platforms to engage and study the sciences. This $127 million dollar renovation project is designed to bring students and faculty together to integrate the sciences, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields together under one roof. This will allow our students and faculty across academic disciplines can collaborate and work together. Be sure to check out our new biology and chemistry labs that are already open and in use on your tour.
Upper Campus Emergency/Fire Access Lanes
Expected completion date: Mid- August 2013
The area of campus between the Miller Fountain, Library, Center for the Sciences and Innovation, and the Ruth Taylor Fine Arts Complex is being renovated to allow for broader sidewalks to allow emergency vehicles quick and easy access to the academic buildings in the event of an emergency. This project will allow for easier access to Northrup Hall, Marrs McLean, and the Center for the Sciences and Innovation.
This summer, you will notice the "Conversation with Magic Stones" sculpture is currently surrounded by protective coverings, but will remain in its original location near the Coates Library. The renovation includes creating an oval sidewalk made with concrete pavers as well as improving lighting on this area of campus.
Witt/Winn Residence Hall Renovation
Expected completion date: Mid-August 2013
Trinity undertakes a renovation of one of our residence halls each summer. While students are away, we are hard at work extensively renovating the Witt/Winn Residence Hall. This project is similar to the renovations of Miller (2009) and Calvert (2010), which are located nearby. Winn/Witt are expected to be open to welcome new members of the Class of 2017 in late August during Move-In Day.
