Trinity's holistic approach to education is reflected in the broad variety of experiential learning opportunities available to students outside the classroom, including internships, research projects, service learning, and a Beyond the Classroom program.

Undergraduate research is encouraged at all class levels and students have hands-on access to equipment and resources typically available only at the graduate level. Students who author or co-author research papers have the opportunity to present their work at academic conferences and to submit it for publication in academic journals.

Trinity strives to give students the skills and experience that will allow them to work in partnership with diverse populations in diverse places:

  • Through an accessible and flexible study abroad program
  • Innovative international programs including EAST, MAS, and Languages Across the Curriculum
  • Language immersion halls
  • Growing international student population
  • Abundant resources and opportunities. We are focused on the student
experience, which means students find everything they need, including
dedicated facilities and the chance to do it all.

Outstanding achievement at Trinity is recognized with a variety of honors programs.

Departmental honors may be awarded to students who have maintained high academic standing and completed a thesis supervised by a faculty member in the department of the major.

Students who have maintained grade averages of 3.875, 3.750, and 3.500 will earn University honors and receive their degrees summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude, respectively.

The Epsilon of Texas chapter of Phi Beta Kappa was installed at Trinity in 1974. It is one of only 270 chapters at distinguished colleges and universities in the United States.

There are many opportunities  to expand your learning experience at Trinity from cutting edge research to studying abroad
