Math and Science Education Initiative
Welcome to the home of the Trinity University Mathematics and Science Education Initiative!
Trinity University, in partnership with the National Science Foundation, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and the Zachry Foundation, has launched a robust series of initiatives to improve student learning in San Antonio, provide in-depth teacher development, and offer scholarship assistance in order to recruit and retain STEM content-area specialists into the field of teaching.
We offer generous stipends and scholarships to prospective math and science teachers through our Noyce Scholarship (undergraduates and recent college graduates) and Noyce Teaching Fellowship (career changers) programs.
The PhysTEC project has produced a video to excite and inspire physics majors to pursue careers in teaching. This fast-paced five-minute video can be screened in university classrooms, physics department open houses, or any other place physics majors meet.
